We're looking for teachers to help us create brand new coding and design courses for thousands of students and help update our current courses to make them even better.
SuperHi’s mission is to make creative education, better designed. We give the creative and curious the tools and techniques to bring their ideas and work to life online.
We teach practical skills in code, design, and project management in a real-world way. We're proud that our current students are 51% female, 1% non-binary, and 48% male from a wide range of backgrounds and over 90 countries, and we have one of the highest Net Promoter Score (currently: 87) of any online business in the world.
We’re a proudly remote team with people located in the US, UK, Canada, Sweden, and Portugal. As a company, we are a fast-growing, profitable startup and are backed by some of the world's top VCs like Expa and ustwo Adventure.
We're looking for a teacher to help us create brand new courses for thousands of students and help update our current courses to make them even better.
You should have experience in any one of the following areas:
digital design (example topics: UX, UI, branding, illustration)
beginner front-end development (example topics: HTML, CSS, beginner JS, no-code and low-code solutions)
intermediate-to-advanced coding (example topics: vanilla JS, React, Vue, Python, and WebGL)
...and there may be multiple people hired as part of this role – you don't need to know all of the example topics in the list above but are curious and willing to learn.

Play a leading role in the delivery of SuperHi courses.
Research, scope and plan new courses and projects, and update current courses alongside the SuperHi content team.
Work with other team members and external designers to create beautiful projects to teach.
Record the course projects with assistance from the content team in the best format for students, be it screencast, on camera or interview format.
Get lots of love from our students when they take the courses you help create!
You could be a good fit for this role if you…
Have a strong background in design or code.
Are good at breaking down complex topics in a logical, straightforward way.
Feel confident talking through topics in a pre-recorded setting.
Have a clear English-speaking voice (accents are fine!).
Have a strong interest in creative education.
Have good attention to detail - your cover letter should include the word "tomato" somewhere.
Are self-motivated and organized.
Have previous experience teaching in either an online or in-person classroom environment.
Have previous experience developing curriculums for courses.
Have experience working remotely.
Have experience working in a growing, startup environment.
Health, dental and vision insurance for US-based employees.
Stipend to get a workspace local to you if you prefer not to work at home after lockdown.
Paid sick and vacation days.
Company provided equipment (laptop, screens, standing desks, software, microphones, etc).
Annual education budget.
Annual work together budget.
Annual health + fitness budget.
We want you to meet with a variety of people from different teams, and get a sense of what it’s like to work together. This means our interview process takes a bit more time than most places so we can get to know each other.
Our first interview is a conversational-style interview. The best way to prepare for this is to spend some time reflecting on all of the experiences you've had and the things you've done to bring you to the point you're at today. No need to swot up on anything, it's more of a two-sided conversation than us "grilling" you.
Next, you will receive a test. It won't be a long test, just a couple of hours maximum, and you will be fairly paid for your time.
Next you will meet several members of the team so you get to know the people you could be working with, and the problems they’re currently solving.
We make a decision after collecting lots of diverse feedback from various team members. The hiring team will take the time to meet, and come back to you with a decision.
As part of this role, you will be mostly working closely with:
Rik Lomas (CEO)
Ana Wang (Content)
André Cândido (Design)
Mariví Nadal (Customer Experience)
Varshini Nanthakumar (Educator)
...along with the rest of the SuperHi team, external teachers and designers, and the whole of the SuperHi community!
We know companies say this (and sometimes don't mean it) but we are a 100% equal opportunities employer. We welcome anyone from any gender, race, sexuality, ability, background, age, etc. to apply. Diversity and inclusion is incredibly important to SuperHi. Our students come from all walks of life and our team should reflect that too.
This role is hiring on a continual basis and we're always on the lookout for the world's best teachers!
