What we're looking for
Our educator role is a mix between helping support and mentor our students, conducting research into new topics and helping update our current courses to make them even better.
You should have experience in any two or more of the following areas:
digital design (example topics: UX, UI, branding, illustration)
beginner front-end development (example topics: HTML, CSS, beginner JS, no-code and low-code solutions)
intermediate-to-advanced coding (example topics: vanilla JS, React, Vue, Python, and WebGL)
You don't need to be an expert but be comfortable at explaining and willing to learn.
The time slot for this role is between 8am-4pm and 9am-5pm Pacific Time – we're happy for you to be in another time zone as long as you're happy to work those times.

Play a leading role in the mentorship and support of our students on chat, email, Slack and through 1:1s.
Research, scope and plan new courses and projects, and update current courses alongside the SuperHi content team.
Work with other team members and external designers to create beautiful projects and tutorials to teach.
Help increase student satisfaction rates.

Have a background in design or code.
Enjoy helping and mentoring people.
Are good at breaking down complex topics in a logical, straightforward way.
Feel confident explaining technical topics in writing.
Have a strong interest in creative education.
Have good attention to detail - your cover letter should include the word "mango" somewhere.
Are self-motivated and organized.
Have previous experience working or learning in either an online or in-person classroom environment.
Have previous experience mentoring.
Have experience working remotely.
Have experience working in a growing, startup environment.

How we hire
We want you to meet with a variety of people from different teams, and get a sense of what it’s like to work together. This means our interview process takes a bit more time than most places so we can get to know each other.
Our first interview is a conversational-style interview. The best way to prepare for this is to spend some time reflecting on all of the experiences you've had and the things you've done to bring you to the point you're at today. No need to study for this, it's more of a two-sided conversation than us "grilling" you.
Next, you will receive a test. It won't be a long test, just a couple of hours maximum, and you will be fairly paid for your time.
Next you will meet several members of the team so you get to know the people you could be working with, and the problems they’re currently solving.
We make a decision after collecting lots of diverse feedback from various team members. The hiring team will take the time to meet, and come back to you with a decision.
